This week, telecommunications company Telstra suffered a major outage, leaving thousands of Australians unable to use their services such as mobile phones.
The outage impacted Triple Zero calls and some small businesses using EFTPOS machines as well as public transport services in Victoria and New South Wales.
But how can the risk be minimised when we depend a lot on telecommunications infrastructure?
