Thank you to those Central Coasters who joined us as part of Kitchen Table Conversations, and more recently at the Health and Wellbeing Workshop in Ulverstone. We are grateful that you shared your ideas about how the health and wellbeing of our community can be improved and what is most important to you.

This information has guided our community Steering Group to develop a plan for action. We cannot tackle everything at once so the Group has chosen six actions to get us started.

IMMEDIATE ACTIONS:

  • A Health and Wellbeing Hub – to help community to find information, support and opportunities that enhance wellbeing
  • A Community Connector – to help our community connect with the supports and services they need
  • A ‘Healthy Minds’ working group – to develop actions that build community awareness, knowledge and skills that support mental health
  • A community garden in Ulverstone – to promote healthy eating and social connection
  • A ‘Get Moving’ working group – to develop actions that encourage exercise for all
  • Ulverstone Parenting Room upgrade and promotion of existing facilities

We hope you will be excited about these first actions. If you would like to know more, or get involved please contact:
