Gran’s Table is a new community project, run by volunteers associated with Gran’s Van, bringing together local schools, businesses, and organizations, offering a weekly free lunch to those who experience food insecurity and/or loneliness. Every Saturday at 12pm Gran’s Table crew offers a free lunch in Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall, next to the Catholic School at Stewart Street. We would like to invite everyone who feels like they could use some company to join us for a warm lunch and a friendly chat with fellow members of our community. Gran’s Table volunteers are here to offer companionship, and a listening ear. If you ever feel lonely, having no one to talk to, and would like to spend some time with us, we are here, waiting for you every Saturday at 12pm. Every fortnight we serve soup & sandwiches. On alternative Saturdays we offer a main course. All meals are served with a dessert and a hot drink. Come and check it out.
