The University of Tasmania (UTAS) is conducting a project with Tasmanians living in rural and remote areas to remove smoking products from their lives. The aim is to work with people aged 15 and above to understand their use, beliefs, knowledge, and concerns about smoking products (cigarettes and e-cigarettes) among rural Tasmanians that would lead to the reduction of the use of these products by co-designing a new stop use program. The project will have two parts – a 10 minute online survey to indentify the issues about smoking products and then a small group session to identify individual views about the use of smoking products, which will have a small paid allowance for time involved.
